Hatch Warren Farmhouse becomes creative hub

20 February 2013

Portsmouth Estates are pleased to announce the letting of the last three suites at The Old Farmhouse, Hatch Warren Farm, which was subject to a 750,000 refurbishment in 2011.  The remaining three suites, totaling approximately 2,400 sq ft, have been let to integrated brand communications agency The Escape, on a new 5 year lease.

Viscount Lymington of Portsmouth Estates said "We are delighted to welcome The Escape to the Old Farmhouse, which was recently subject to a major refurbishment.  They will complement our existing tenant mix at both Hatch Warren Farm and Manor Farm, Cliddesden.  Portsmouth Estates now has a single building at Hatch Warren Farm which is unlet, namely Newton House, a self contained 3,000 sq ft property with the unusual benefit of 17 on site car spaces".

Rob Jones of The Escape said "We are delighted to have reached agreement with Portsmouth Estates and look forward to our move to new premises in the spring.  The building will prove to be an excellent base for our future expansion plans, and we look forward to offering our creative and strategic skills to Basingstoke and the wider Hampshire market".

Andrew Newman of Hollis Hockley, who acted for Portsmouth Estates said "Hatch Warren Farm has historically proved to be a successful development.  It is interesting to see that even in this difficult economic climate that the latest phase of development by Portsmouth Estates is now 100% let.  The scheme has the added benefit of BT Infinity on site. We are optimistic that this will result in more interest for both the 3000 sq ft Newton House which is available on a new lease from Portsmouth Estates and the 7,000 sq ft at Paterson House and Hooper House, which are both available on assignment from the previous occupier".
